I've just recently installed an X3 on a 1.4 xbox, flashed with X3 1959 bios,no problems so far.The dash i'm going to use is Evox, heres where the problem starts. When i open flash fxp and connect to the xbox everything normal as in tutorials,.i.e rename xboxdash to msxboxdash(xbox c drive),rename default.xbe to xboxdash, then copy that file along with skins folder and evox.ini over to xbox c drive, disconnect from flash, take out the evox boot cd,reboot the xbox, evox dash then boots :p now when i connect to the xbox again everything thats on the xbox c drive appears on the xbox d drive, even when i put a game in the xbox it doesn't show the contents of the disc. I know the drive is read only, i'm pulling my hair out over this, any ideas gratefully received.

Hey,
first of all, why are you renaming files? That's the last thing you want to do.
Ok so if you followed directions then you made a backup of your C drive before you started hosing things up.

Put the boot disc back in and replace all the files with the backup files. Delete the msxboxdash.xbe file.

Then you can install evox. Don't rename any files just transfer everything over to the C drive just as it was when you unrared it. With the exception of the changes you made in the evox.ini file of course.

Tried both methods,no joy. F5 didn't do anything, the other method ,the same thing happened, everything replicated to the xbox d drive. I then deleted everything on the d drive hopeing that would work but then everything disappeared of the c drive.

Can't Get DVD Key From Lite On Drive

I have been trying to flash a Lite On drive using Jungle Flasher 1.75 Beta, and I keep getting the following screen (See below). I think it has to do with the way I am doing the tray half open procedure or my sata card.

I open the tray, press eject and power off the dvd drive before it fully closes. I wait 10 secs or so and power back on & follow the prompts in Jungle Flasher. I pull the tray fully open when requested, then I get the error below. If I press the eject button instead of pulling the tray open the tray closes, I am not sure, but shouldn't it open?

I have read the tutorial for jungle flasher, and if I have a 83850C v2 DVD drive I should get a message, I am not even getting that.

My DVD drive date code is May 2009.
My SATA card is a Silicon Image Sil 3512
I have used the same sata card before to flash a Hitatchi drive.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Can't Get DVD Key From Lite On Drive

silicone sata chipset is your problem,
yes you may have used it to flash hitachi drive, but hitachi drives and mediatek based drives are like chalk and cheese,
via 6421 card is what you need.
