If they all have the same civ checks then how come forza 4 fails the checks?

My understanding after reading many many threads was that Forza had some different kind of check...

But obviously your word is better than mine, so would you please explain your quote? or rather explain why Forza and only forza fails the checks if they all have the same checks?

Edit: My guess is it probably has something to do with the truncating, but that just leads us back to square 1: how come all the other xgd3 games can be truncated properly but not forza?

They might play but there not 100% backup. They could be failing checks and you could already be flagged. I guess for some it plays because there burner is burning more data than others to the disc but this does NOT mean that backup is 100% complete or safe to play. Im personally waiting for ABGX before a XGD3 backup goes anywhere near my console.

This is incorrect. C4 said when LT 2.0 came out, that xgd3 were as safe on live as xgd2.

But that was before Forza came out. Once Forza came out everyone (important at least) said Forza was not safe and should not be played.

Truncating may not safe and we could be missing anything from the backups and we have no ABGX to check. How many of your XGD2 backups did you truncate? How many gave repeated errors at the end of burning?

It has already been said on here that you should re-burn all xgd3 backups with this new drive.

C4 said xgd3 backup was as safe as xgd2. And he was using the truncating method. So do you doubt him???

Only Forza is the exception to the truncating method. But yes, I agree with your last sentence. Can never be too careful with backups...

Well I stopped playing my Dark Souls backup because of it. Even though no problems have been reported. I'd rather use my retail until I get the new drive and reburn properly. Just not worth the risk.

Why that a lot of users with unmodded 360 get errors on the same game Forza 4 ? - so what if the new method of burning is wrong ?

c4eva could mod this fw to burn XGD3 and rip games like 0800
It's already a modified fw... It's just change a little code :D

:D Kids are so funny these days. Some people actually think that these things will sell out or something. It's like people think everything is made in the ten or single digits or something. The WORST thing which could happen is Newegg'll run out of stock for a week. There'll be PLENTY of these drive in a week no matter what. Stop being foolish.

I search throught thread and I didn't see if anyone answered this question. Does this firmware enable backing up games on the drive or is just for burning xgd3 games?
