Uhhhh so I was RGHING my corona v4, everything was going fine, I got RROD so I tried to resolder the R4P5 point and the pad literally just fell off... it just came straight off. Then I was like.... O sh*t.... so I used the C5R11 pad, and the same thing. I put the iron down on the pad, put the wire on, lift iron back up, and hey! the pad wanted to come too! So now I'm basically f**ked. I soldered the wire (successfully) to the FT3T10 point, but now my cr3 doesn't even blink.... can I have help fixing this?

I don't actually fully understand the process behind a trace repair, or which points to do etc.
I saw a few pics with a line following the trace but I don't see how that is helpful?

NOTE: I cannot send this off to be repaired. I need to fix this myself. Please don't say "send it to some one."
NOTE: Please don't link me to that really long thread about this, it literally made no sense(I Have spent the past hour googling this, I just need some one to explain...)

If you don't want to send it off then I suggest you get some serious experience under your belt before attempting a repair. No one can type out anything to give you the skill needed to fix this. Skill is earned...... Not given. I'm not trying to sound like an ass but since you don't want to send it out then I don't think you have a choice but to learn to solder.

Thats my point. If you can't see the damage then the chances of you fixing this are slim. I see missing components. The components are supposed to be connected to solder pads and the pads connected to traces. Since the pads are missing then that means the components need to be attached directly to the traces. That is much harder than just simply replacing them.

Again, I'm not trying to be an ass and I apologize if I'm coming off that way.

Ugh. I wish I could just do this myself. Anyway I will post there.
What kind of expense would I be looking at?

Well if its only thoes two points and nothing else is damaged and its not damaged too much i think it will be rather cheap to fix. And maybe just maybe if the damage isen't bad at all and you find a nice guy he might even do it for free but thats a big maybe.

I'm doing this to learn, so I need to gain experience. I think it would be more helpful even if it breaks if I do it rather than some one else. That way I will be able to do it in the future.

Thanks guys! I will post how it goes. Also, I assume the C5R11 point doesn't require repair as it's not vital?

Okay so I looked into it, where is the C5R11 point (trace) to connect a wire to? I can't see it

UPDATE: Fixed! Still haven't done the C5R11 reconnection but the cr3 now blinks green. Still RROD tho, any ideas why?
+1 noob cred?
