Yeah, I pretty much moved on from the modding scene for the Xbox. Right now I am just waiting for the next gen consoles.

I didn't do a whole lot of research on this, but i recall someone along time ago in this forum saying they once modded a Texas Instruments calculator. I think it was the TI-83. I am going to have to by one soon for math and I couldn't live with myself if i didn't mod it.

I will do a search on this soon, but if anyone could shed some light on this that would be great.

i think all they did was put leds in it, but i could be wrong

I use a TI-83 Plus for my Calculus I class. There are several mods one can do to it:

One common thing is installing a second resistor or something, with a switch. Once you direct the power through it versus the stock resister (or transister... I can't remember), it overclocks the processor so you can graph faster and stuff. However, it also SUCKS the battery right out if it, quick.

I think the best mods one could do is a new paint job and LEDs. Perhaps find room in the case for a second set of batteries. Very possible. I think I'll do that soon.
