ok, I want to start off by thanking team xecuter for continuing to release updates on the x2 bios. I love the new config live and have spent hours messing around with it.
ok, so here is where I messed up. I have the xecuter 2.3b lite plus as my chip, on a 1.0 motherboard. I accidentally flashed over FlashBios with 5032. so, both banks on my chip now contain 5032. I downloaded 5035, messed with the config file, then ftp'd it to my box. I then went to open flashx, but the xbox froze. So, when trying to restart the box, I have the 5035 config file on e, and 5032 bios on both banks of the chip. After reading the 5032 nfo file, I found that I can use rescue.xbe in order to start a dash from disc. I assumed that I just needed to rename the default.xbe to rescue.xbe after downloading evo-x. I then burned the disc with the evox.ini and the now renamed rescue.xbe file. I put the disc in the box and try to start the dash from the disc. I get the x2 config live loading screen, then the ms default flubber animation, and then my personalized x2logo loads and then right to ms dash.
I just want to make sure that I am going about this the correct way. Anyone that can confirm that this SHOULD work, would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you have any other suggestions in order to get this thing running, please let me know... tia.
oh, i also tried making a bootdisk with default.xbe instead of rescue.xbe. no luck.
