CORONA Can HDD make red dot error?

Hello.

I had my corona v6 maybe half year. 2 months ago I made RGH with CR4 XL. I wasn't using any HDD. Xbox was working perfectly. Without any problems. Today I sold that xbox. Before that i added some 250GB Hitachi HDD. When customer came I showed him it is working. But when he came home, he reported, that when he turned on xbox for a second time he is getting red dot error, fan start to speed up and xbox turn off. Without booting xbox to dash. I don't have any more info. I can find some logs. I posted pictures of that install somewhere I can repost them. Tommorow I am going to meet him. I will try update dashboard (I think there is 747 or 767).
Did somebody had some similar problem? I was using that xbox few months without problem. Only thing I recently did, was added HDD

Find out does it red dot without the HDD. If u find out that the HDD is the problem then there cud be something on the HDD that shouldn't be there.

A faulty HDD wouldn't cause the fan to run at full speed.

The problem probably lies elsewhere (possibly with the CR4 install or the XCGPU needs some new thermal paste applying to it).

Hey nightmare u have the same nand as me the skhynix maybe you have the same issue as me...the xbox took over four glitch cycles flashed red rings and shut off?

i have had a couple tricky 4gb coronas come my way in my day,lol. ive had some that ive had to write the img a few times before it took,try writing it 3 times back to back.dunno why this has worked on some but it has,worth a shot.

to op,had the guy done anything to the nand at all as far as img goes?and if he had,or could of,whats the way he would of done so? like was a sd reader left in for him to use?

Hey novenofelonies I definitely wrote the image more than 3times and a couple were back to back but im happy with the xbox rarely does it since I tuned it

I already red your whole thread. But it is not my problem. I set on purpose dip 1 to take longer to glitch, it was glitching until it booted.

Thank you for suggestion. When I met him it was working without any problems. I reflashed NAND with 17 150 dashboard. Tried it at least 70 times Still booting well.
No he didn't do anything to NAND. I really doubt he has ever heard word NAND I didn't left nand R/W kit in. He just came home and couldn't start xbox. Then he managed to start it. Next day he couldn't start it again. He was still getting red dot. But I noticed, when he was turning xbox off, he hold power button maybe for 10 seconds. Is it possible? I can't find anything wrong, so I am even looking for these little things

Anyways. With 17 150, over 70 times turning on and off. Disconnecting power supply, Trying different and ridiculous ways to get red dot, I couldn't get it.

It is back again. He can't start Xbox again. He is still getting red dot error with fast spinning fan. Everything was working good before. What the hell happened.....
