Can i add a hard drive to my 360

I have core system and no hard drive, can i use a usb hard drive to save my games etc? can it be done or do i have to get the xbox 360 official hard drive

afaik you can but just for save games nothing more

just plug the usb drive into a free usb slot on the 360 and it will pick it up as a memory card

how about when downloading patches and updates from xbox live? Is it still possible with a usb drive?

you can only use it to store save games you would need a microsoft retail 20gb HDD
