phat lite-ons don't have the badflash PMT method

however, a simple intro works :)

1. send intro/device id to the port you are using for flashing (your drive won't be detected)
2. press yes
3. you will see ....... across the screen.
4. at this time, power off the drive, then power it back on
5. you should see 0x72, which will allow you to write to the drive

what chipset are you using?

download "CPU-Z"
go to the mainboard tab and tell me what is in your "chipset" and "southbridge" info

other recommendations:
if you are using onboard SATA, make sure you are using the primary port of the motherboard (SATA 0 on your motherboard, or SATA 1 if you don't have SATA 0)

if you are using a VIA card, make sure you are using the VIA 530C drivers (Windows V-RAID V530C), and that they are removed properly as in the JF tutorial
make sure you are using the primary port of the VIA card as well.
