I was wondering if there is a program that i can use to edit the x2 4983 bios. I am trying to do a stealth install of everyting on my xbox. I want to be able to put my dashboard on the f drive. I tried xbtool but it won't support 4983. If you guys could help me out much thanks would be appreciated.

4983 is the same as the version just previous except 4983 is encypted, there were rumors going around that it was a test of some tech that Xecuter was going to use on the X3

Well...first of all there is no such thing as "Stealth Mode".
But if your still anal about putting your files on the F drive then use the 4981 bios.

I'd be tickled if I could just get the FTP in my bios to work (the directory bug) according to X is fixed in the new release that was / is coming someday.

Well thanks everyone for your replys. I guess i have to revert back to 4981. I guess i am kind of anal. LOL. Just feel that if i didn't F with the c and e drives i still would have xblive. But i found this program that patches a .xbe and changes where the "gamesaves" are stored. I am also with HarshReality and the ftp. I would be tickled if the new bios contained an extended version of the X2 app like with 4983. Like be able to change where the bios loads or if not that, some other cool features.

So if you can't edit the 4983 (gay) then what's the boot order? And how is "just use 4981" a plausible option for those of us that care about the XBL blocking? I realize Metoo also has live blocking, but I have problems with that one not loading backup games.
You would think I shouldn't have to post to a forum to find out information like boot order. It should be in a FAQ on the home page. Sorry if I sound pissed; I guess I am because this whole concept of not being able to edit the BIOS options is ridiculous and seems more like something MS would do than people who are trying to help out the Xbox modding community.

Ok. Nevermind to part of that. Apparently, the 4981 (as stated above) includes the XBL blocking feature. But, uh, shouldn't that kind of basic spec be shown on... gee, I don't know, the maker's website?? There's absolutely no info or specs given on their own sh*t (in terms of BIOSes - haven't checked out info on the chips since I own a Xenium). whatever.
