Can I flash the new freeboot with the LPT cable, as it is still attached to my board, or do I have to flash "updflash.bin" through flash360 and xexmenu? I do not have a 360 harddrive and just jtaged and flash xbr with dash8955 but dont have a drive just usb which i cant format to this 360 untill i get it to update..

Yes, you can write the image via LPT. The updflash.bin method is just so that you don't need to use the LPT method. But in your case, it seems like the LPT method is best. Therefore, just use Nandpro and write the new freeBOOT image to the NAND just as you wrote the XBR image.

why not make the flash and put it on a usb root called updflash and boot off xell, it'll save you about 40 minutes and errors.
