Suddenly unable to play AVI files

Hi Guys,

and sure if this has been covered before, but cant seem to find anything

last night, my xbox suddenly refused to play any avi file(51-C00DF236)

if i try run the "required download"
all i get is the attached screen and nothing else

i have tried formatting the HDD, and creating a new profile, and trying to download the update again, but still no luck

Any advise?

had you downloaded the update before? There has been a issue with it where if you download the update in the past, and then get a new xbox (or refurbished from a RROD problem that microsoft 'fixes') then the old download won't work and you need to delete it off you HD and download it again.


I can't play AVI files offline i need to be online which sucks if any one knows how to play avi files offline??
