Hey,

I am about to buy an Xbox modded with the Xecuter 3 chip and frankly it all sounds peachy. However, because i am constantly going between the US and Europe my one question is this:

"Getting an Xbox modded with the X3 allows me to play on any TV: PAL frequency supporting tv´s, NTSC frequency supporting tv´s, and multi frequency supporting tv´s?"

I wont have to dig around for cash to buy a both PAL/NTSC frequency supporting TV every time i move?

Ok, thank you for any help that is offered, i do appreciate it!

But i hope somebody will answer your question.
BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW IT FOR SURE, if it's wrong then sorry
But with other concoles its the same You need a chip to play anywere you want. :D

not trying to dissuede you from getting an x3, but if you have any modchip, you can change the video mode.

I see, a basic option that comes with alot of these mod chips, lets talk X´s for argument sake, is an option of changing the frequency that the system will operate on?
Also, with a chip turned on, i cannot go on Xbox live, makes sense, but would that mean that the only country i could ever go on Xbox live, would be the country that the system was originally sold from, e.g.

I buy a modded system from france, that was originally built to operate on a PAL frequency, turn on the chip and can play in the states, but cant go on Xbox live in the states becasue i have to turn off the chip to access live, therefor disableing the chips ability to adapt to the frequency of the tv that is supported.

Phew, this is confusing.

The help is awsome:

no

setting the video mode has nothing to do with the mod. you can enable the mod. set the video mode (it changes setting on the XBOX eeprom) and then disable the mod. it wont lose its video setting.

I see, lastly, after "using" the mod to change the video setting to play on a european TV, does that mean i will then have to play a european game, or can these options be changed indepently from eachother?
- Playing an american game having changed the video mode to a european setting.

Thanks

Xbox360 Lite-on Drive problem >.

Hi, i recently decided to update my console from ixtreme 1.51 to ixtreme LT ( i have lite-on 74850C) and it seems i did something wrong because now the tray won't eject...the middle light is blinking and the junglaflasher doesn't detect my drive >.<!
I did all the steps acording to the jungleflasher tutorial for ixtreme LT....BUT at the MTK Flash 32 tab where i had to Erase Lite-on and unplug and plug back the driver power cord in the dot sequence i think i screwed up!! I did this step over..20 times but intro always failed so i thought i was doing it wrong so instead of unpluging the power cord....i Turned OFF my xbox then back ON during the dot sequence....and that's where i think i f***'d up!!! Now as i said the tray won't eject, the middle light is blinking ( flashing w/e), jungleflasher doesn't detect my drive....need help :(

Re: Xbox360 Lite-on Drive problem >.

you should be ok!

luckily, your drive is just locked, as it has no FW on it

make sure you have the correct port selected in JF, you won't see your drive, but that doesn't matter

send intro/device ID, after pressing yes, then power up the drive(turn on xbox or plug in power from back of DVD)

you should see good flash properties and then flash away

this is a very common problem and had you searched the site, you would have found a hundred other posts with the same problem

Re: Xbox360 Lite-on Drive problem >.

Well i forgot to mention that i did that...and it just says "Driver is in V*** mode" (V*** = i don't remember the word exactly :D it just starts with a V) and it still flashes+tray is stuck!!

EDIT: Do you mean to press the " Erase Lite-on" then after pressing yes->yes i should press "intro/device ID" ????:D or to just press intro/device ID after i should unplug then plug back the power cord....(witch i did)....Witch one?:D i am confused >.<'

Re: Xbox360 Lite-on Drive problem >.

if the drive is in vendor mode, you should be good to go
it is interesting that you flash it and it still doesn't respond

did you send the outro command?

also, is there any chance you plugged in the power incorrectly?
if so, you could have fried a component on your pcb board
