Can I put a samsung drive in a lite on mother board.

I know they can't be spoofed but thought you can just flash the key to the drive and it will work. However have also read that since it is not a liteon it will fail the ap 2.5 check and not play correct?

You need to install a Lite-On drive (or the original drive that was in the console prior to the spoof), this is because spoofing is no longer supported in the LT firmwares.

If your not going to use live then yes you can replace it. Just flash the key.

You will get red light when trying to play some games mainly xgd3 when you put a Sammy in a lite-on box.

BenQ drives work for me,I just flashed the key and i never got the 1RROD again.
I have a ms28,the laser is broken but i'll replace that soon enough and test out this sammy and post back with some info!
