GENERAL can i spoof a sammy drive to a liteon dg-16d2s?

If you do some research, you would find the answer to this very quickly. But the answer is no. You must replace a drive with the same brand (Sammy, Lite-On, Benq, Hitachi)
Yea. If you plan on playing on xbox live dont spoof, you will be flagged for a ban. You can spoof hitachi as liteon no problem. Like I said you just need the dvd key of your drive
If you havn't done a recent dash update you will still need an original drive to achieve this before you can spoof because the dash update flashes the liteon drive as well.

p.s. it isn't apparently obvious how to spoof to 0251 in jungleflasher but it can be done with a bit of brains

you might have an issue playing ap2.5 games as well since sammys don't detect it, and liteons do..and if the console is supposed to have a liteon it will be searching for the ap2.5 info and will not find it as sammys cant detect it
maybe lt3.0 might do away with this ..i don't know
