GENERAL Can I update to newest dash?

I have a 16d2s flashed with lt+3.0 but its on dashboard 15574 and I want to know if its safe for me to update to the newest dash not the beta dash. I gave the drive to my friend who hasnt used it for a while and wants to know if he can just update to the newest dash.

I believe 15574 is the current "public" dashboard.

For future reference, always revert your drive back to stock firmware before updating the dashboard.

Wierd because it says update... Your right the newest dashboard is 15574

Are you sure its not a Title Update?

Remove any game from the DVD drive and then connect to live again, not playing any download arcade games, simply connect to live while signing in with no disc in the drive and see what it says then.

So are you saying when you had it, you flashed it while you were on 15574...then gave your friend the drive and he is not on 15574 and wants to update his dash?
