Can I update without a problem?

I just flashed my Xbox 360's (Fat) BenQ drive to LT+3 Firmware about two days ago. I just noticed that just today a new update for xbox live had just come out, is it safe to update to it right now? Also, whenever I need to update the firmware for my flashed xbox 360 how do I update it?

It is always safest to revert to stock before dashboard updates(title updates are fine). To update the drive later you need the dummy.bin(original fw) file for the correct drive, open jungle flasher and make sure your drive is deceted in mtk flash then procede to firmware tool 32 and open you dummy.bin as the source and whatever cfw you want the target fw and then spoof source to target. then follow the steps for you drive to erase the old fw and add the new.

Actually, did you get an update today? I just want to make sure it wasn't just a mishap. When you signed onto your xbox 360 did you get prompted to update?
