Can installing a Dashboard with a cd be done?

I want to know if there is a site or tutorial on putting a dashboard (either X2, Avalaunch, or Evox) on the box WITHOUT FTP'n it in there? I am sure there is a way but haven't found anything on it yet.

You can always get boXexplorer from the usual places and just burn all the files you want onto a DVD with boXexplorer on it then just copy them to your HDD (remeber the 40 character rule, I had to reburn 3 gigs of renamed music because of this) . Just read the .nfo that comes with the .zip/.rar file and you should be good to go.

if you want something simple use slayers. it'll put evoX avalaunch, xbmc, dvd2xbox and all that great stuff. it'll probably put on a bunch of junk you don't want but it's a real simple way to get a dash on ur xbox without ftping.

Is there any reason why you don't want to go down the FTP route?

Its a fairly straightforward proceedure and once set up will prove valuable.
