Can not Power Off / Eject after install

After installing the X3 Mod chip in my 1.4 XBox I plugged it in and it immediatly turned on. I got to the FlashBios screen and everything looked good. I tried to power down, but nothing happens. I also tried eject button and nothing happenned. I selected FlashBIOS from cd and my DVD player did eject and I was able to flash the BOIS. Just can not power down or eject using the front panel.

I am guessing I have something on the LPC not soldered correctly, but wanted to see if there was enything else I should look at.

I think you have a short on the power/eject adapter. Bypass it for the time being and see if the Xbox switches on / off normally.

Sounds right, see if you pinched any of the wires there. I know they are very easy to pinch in the screw for the DVD/HDD tray right there.

Stupid me , I plugged the red wires going from the bypass chip to the mod chip into the 5v plug. Now that I have the wires in the right place the power button works, and I can switch between the mod chip and the Orig XBox.

Unfortunatly my eject button still is not working. I plugged the yellow wires back into the main board and the button still does not work. I must have shorted out the button.

Again, I am able to have the DVD drive eject when selecting Flash Bios from CD.

Any ideas on how to fix? Do I need to find another front panel or is there something else I can do?
