Can only boot into Backup BIOS

Since the original problem was fixed.

Just installed my X3 into a 1.6 xbox.

The mod chip will not work at all if the switch is connected. If I disconnect it, then it will boot the MS Bios / Flubber.

If I hold the Power and Eject button it will boot into the backup bios (3.0.1).

Anyone know what might be going on? Any way to get it to boot into the primary bios?

fyi, I wasn't pressing the power button fast enough. It is working right now (although it still won't work if my switch is installed, but im not worrying about that).
