RGH Can see games on external but fails to load anything from it

i had my FSD3 and a game on my 8gb usb stick and everything was working fine and i bought a 2tb external harddrive, formated it to fat 32 and moved the same game onto it and now it wont play. instead i get the error "The game could not start, please try downloaded the game again". the files are visible in FSD however they just wont open for some reason. ive tried installing FSD onto my external aswell however every tutorial ive come accross requires me to launch a .xex file (dashlaunch and FSD) which i cant do because of the error.i get the same error wherever i try to open the game from (xexmenu, file manager).
does anyone know what could cause this? and also is there a way to make it boot to FSD from the 2tb on startup because it would be more convenient not having the have the 8gb usb stick just to load the fsd.
ive read threads where people just format it to fat32 and are good to go so i dont know why its not working

if i copy the fsd files from the 8gb to the external would it work?
and if the usb's launch.ini's path is "Default = Usb:\Freestyle\default.xex"
would i have to change that to "Default = Usb1:\Freestyle\default.xex" for the 2tb's directory? (8gb is usb0 and 2tb is usb1 in FSD) i cant find a list of commands for the launch ini anywhere, i dont know the FSD is installed on my 2tb properly because the guy who modded my xbox put the files on the usb stick, and every time i tried following a tutorial id get the error "The game could not start, please try downloaded the game again" whenever i tried running xexmenu etc..

yea it just doesnt work when its on the harddrive

keep FSD on your internal storage and re-rip the disc to the external drive through FSD's disc ripping feature.

also clear the FSD database.
