can someone fix hitachi drive

hi i have taken apart my hitachi and put in a samsung laser but i cant get it to work could someone please fix it

usps for drive would be 5-11 bucks depending on what you would like drives fit nicely in small flat rate box medium if you want more padding

Was the samsung laser new? or one from another drive?

If new, did you remove the solder blob to protect the laser while shipping?

I used the laser from a samsung dvd drive that I got with my jtag and no it was used
