So yes, you can swap without issue.

Im wondering if i can swap out a Slim Lite-On DG-16D4S Winbond with a identical drive with MXIC and not have dashboard problems like you are saying.

The drives are identical - Lite-On DG16D4S 0225

If i swap my OG one out whitch is Winbond with a MXIC drive will i have any problems in the future?

I hope you found your answer. Whats wrong with your current Drive? TX replacement boards are so easy to flash, are awesome and low cost.

Nothing is wrong with it its just easier and just trying to get a feel for host stricked these drives are.,

Can i also swap it out if the F/W Ver is different the original drive?

I ask for future purposes.

Why would the existing firmware version matter? You're going to erase and re-write it anyway.
