Can you flash with Vista?

I have windows Vista and am going to be getting a new xbox soon. I will hopefully be modding it but I have some hesitations.
When I start up vista i don't get the Press F8 For boot screen etc. like I do on my laptop.
Also I dont really know if Vista will let me boot from a USB device.
Can anyone help me?

yes you can get into the bios on a computer running vista.you just need to learn how
and you should be able to flash on a computer running vista.

Thank you so much!!! :D Would I be able to talk to you on XBL or on IM or something? Im VERY new to this. Im competent on a computer but all this MS-DOS stuff has me scared that I'll brick my xbox. Also In Textbooks Video and PDF tutorial (although they are great) he seem to use two different methods. He doesn't use iPrep whatever that is in his Video but does in his PDF. Whats your Gamertag? Mine is LiamsT630. I would really like to ask you a few questions

The video is old and so it shows older software versions but the flashing process is exactly the same. The PDF tutorial is completely up-to-date and shows the newest software so that's what you should be following while flashing. Also if you end up with a Hitachi drive you won't really need to use DOS commands at all, everything is done within a program in Windows.

Thank you so much. I went over to keznews.net (a great windows forum) and now know how to get into my Bios so that shouldnt be a problem. One more question and Im asking this before I've searched because it just popped into my mind, what DVDrive will I get so I can copy and burn games? I did a Google search for Kreon but just got linked back here. Could someone give me a link a Site that sells it? Thanks Very much!
