I believe that the firmware had been extracted but not decrypted yet, are you saying that all the necessary levels have been done but just not in a way that is easily repeated?

I wasn't saying anything, my point was that there is no way for us (as in public users) to retrieve the drive key from those drives at this time of writing.

the only thing ive managed to do is edit the kv to swap on rgh but that was while ago and dont rember how i did it

Its never necessary to edit the kv of a console. You can always make the drive to the kv. Modding the drive is easier and safer. Telling people to mod their kv is bound to cause issues.
If spelling error, I blame Tapatalk.
Users can longer spoof drives through JungleFlasher since this has become massively detectable/bannable.

This isn't really the reason you can't spoof.
It simply doesn't work at all any more, it has nothing to do with live and banning.
If you are using rgh then if doesn't make any difference, use whatever drive you like.
