can you install the x3 twith wires instead of header pin?

i am missing my header pin would like to know if you can use the wire install adapterl that comes with the x3 instead of the header pin and if so are the pionts the same as they were on a xecuter 2.2. my xbox is version 1.0

ok so you use the same points as you do for a wire instal for a 2.3. what do you do with the brown and white wires taht are left extra?
