I have a few burnt games, and i need to re burn them, can i rip them with my dvd drive without having to pull out my 0800 to make another copy?
I am not being a smart ass, your just jumping the gun, no one said the reason to have copies is to make copies of copies, the reason i am using my copy to burn a new copy ( and yea i think i already know it destroy the only copy, especially since it no longer plays ) is because my Final Fantasy XI Online original is so far warped and scratched that it can not be used to make a clean rip...you are legally allowed to posses 1 back up of an original copy you own, making a back up of a back up = piracy
you will need to destroy your back up and create a new one with your "0800 drive"
the reason to have copies is not to make copies of copies, don't be a smartass
The solution is never simple when people jump to conclusions, trust me its a lot easier to just download a rip off the internet and burn it then to go through the hassle of re ripping the game (YA think!!) i can not use my original to make a backup because its so far warped and non readable it will not rip clean so thanks for accusing someone of something they didn't do, but yea im sure your a true saint >>>I question if you HAVE the originals. If you did, then the solution to your problem would be quite simple. For help with backups (as the rules state) you need to post your xbc logs.
piracy, plain and simple, no exceptionthe reason i am using my copy to burn a new copy
NO A Hole piracy is not owning the original copy, taking something with out paying for it, as long as i own the original no matter what shape its in and retain only one copy then its legally not piracy... Why do people have to be so dumb>piracy, plain and simple, no exception
Also show me in your little law book where it stated that i legally can not use a back up of any software to create a new backup as long as the old backup is destroyed, but lets see you have never stolen, lied, downloaded something from a torrent, from limewire or used a crack keygen am i right >piracy, plain and simple, no exception
As stated in a few of my other post i have a tiao t-x360-02 v3.1, which is what i power my drive from, none the less i havent done in modding in many years, the backups i have were done 4 years ago and i payed someone to make the copys for me because i couldn't get my hands on a drive to rip the game.. There old, there scratched, they havent been used is forever (my ps3 is better) but i figured it would give the kids something to play besides the wii.. And plus its just as easy to power the drive from the 360 like i remember doing many years ago to flash as it is to use it to provide power to rip..So please pray tell how you powered your 0800 drive to make the original first back up , even if you still have to get the X360USB Pro (this is really not the issue) ? You only mention having an 0800 drive.
Not like any of these jerks are going to accept it but here you go..one kinda easy way to settle this take a pic of the original game/disk with your username written on a piece of paper with it in the pic. No fuss no muss no extra work done with your original disk just a quick pic.
My computer will make the backup of the backup, but my 360 gives read errors, so as long as its freshly burnt there is no read error?? I don't know of anyone who has the game to let me borrow, and its the only game i need to re burn..If your back ups are scratched then they will do you just about as much good as your retail.
I've actually taken this rat race in the past. I have two scratched retail copies of cod [email protected] and one scratched back up that no longer works and one good backup that I keep out of reach of my kids. It rather sucked having to borrow a retail to make another back up of a game I own two copies of and have a backup of.
I take very very good care of my things, but stuff happens, and if using someone elses game to make a copy of a game you own shady, not to me, its not like there different, all the code the time creating it how it was burnt is all the same, now using someone elses gold edition or special edition game to make a copy when i didnt pay for that edition of the game yea thats illegal and not right..I hope you get this straightened out. If your original disk is too beat up, then all I can say is you should take better care of your stuff. Copying someone else's game is shady, and probably illegal.
I will have to try one of those, i have tried tooth paste but i didn't work, i guess you supposed to use a certain kind, its has these little idk beads or something in it to actually buffer it, do you think this will still possibly work with it already being buffered by a machine at Hastings? Sadly they made it worse off then it was to begin with, learned my lesson there, and thank you for the advice.Give this a read you may be able to salvage your discs http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=71405 ,I personally have saved many discs , xbox and dvd alike since ,give it a try .I'm sure it'll work , I stand corrected on my first impression of your post and hereby offer an apology .Once again hope the linked post helps you out.L2000
