Can you spoof your DVD key on any Slim Lite-On Drive?

I was reading around and im hearing things that if you spoof you will get banned. When i hear spoof i think of DVD key. Is this correct?

No - spoofing is if you have one model of DVD drive in your console originally (say a BenQ) and you wanted to put another in there (A Hitachi, Lite-on or Samsung).

You'd change the OSIG in the firmware to make the console THINK it's a BenQ still. As stated this can be detected and is not supported.
