If you have two Xbox's an online one and an offline one. The online one is legit and hasnt been modded. The offline one is flashed. Can I switch my Drive in my offline one to my online one to play online? Will this put me at less chance at being banned?

The reason I am sayin this is because Im an active member at 360gamesaves and Will be using my offline box for Gamesaving and Playing flashed games. I would just like to be able to playmy flashed games online too.

i'm new but from what i know you can't because each drive key is married to the motherboard. someone correct me if i'm wrong since i'm not entirely sure.

As long as you have the drive key or drive FW for a specific drive/motherboard combination you can flash any drive (apart from the Benq/Phillips drives) to work with any motherboard, even if it is a different model or make (ie: Hitachi or Samsung.) You can spoof a drive to report as whatever drive a 360 motherboard came with originally.

This said however, it will make no difference what drive you use as to whether you get banned or not on Live.

It is strongly believed at the moment the way they detect a modded console is by the backup game. Which is why with the new iXtreme firmware you can only play properly stealthed backups.

If you have an online and offline console your guaranteed not to get banned on your unmodded "online" console so keep it that way & don't mess with it!

If you want to play backups online use your current modded console using your existing gamertag and take the risk anyone else takes by doing the same, safe in the knowledge that if you do get banned, you will still have a console to play your backups offline and originals online on your unmodded console. M$ do not ban your gamertag, just your console.

I have a spare console myself, so I do this. Happy days!
