Guys,
Is there a way of hooking up a MS force feedback PC wheel (which has sit in my loft for 3 years) to the xbox?
Are there any driving games that would use the force feedback

cheers

Just like a PC, you have to install drivers for the device to function. There is no way to load drivers on an xbox unless you're running Linux. Running Linux kinda defeats the purpose of hooking it up since you can't play xbox games under Linux.

btw-Drivers for supported hardware are hard-coded in the xbox. That is why they work while other devices won't.

THe driver issue is true, but, the sidewinder is a Microsoft device, so there is a chance that the drivers that are built in that work for other manufacturers will also support this device - grab a UDB to Xbox Connector converter, and tryit out. Whats the worst that could happen? It not work and you have now have a USB dongle you can use with the new X3 BIOS for reading thumb drives?? Low risk.

Good point... couldn't hurt to try it regardless. Even if you only get partial functionality, it might still be useful.

I was in database mode for a client, so my post should have referred to the USB to Xbox adapter, not UDB (As in IBM DB2 UDB) - just wanted to clarify that before the lunatic fringe started asking where the can get the UDB adapter from.
