Cannot Boot into SX OS with licence.dat file on SD

Spent hours trying to figure out why I couldn't boot into SX OS when injecting the payload after adding my licence.dat to the root of the SD card.

I tried formatting it multiple times in exfat & fat32, new SD cards, activating online and offline but nothing worked. As soon as the licence.dat file went on the SD card SX OS wouldn't boot.

What would happen is after injecting the playload the SX OS splash screen appeared for a second then the screen went black, show the Nintendo then switch logo and booted into stock firmware (yes, it was definitely stock).

------ Fix --------

I was about to give up and read somewhere that holding the minus button when injecting the payload worked, I held the plus instead and bingo it booted.

--------------------

I've seen a couple of other people experience the same problem on the forums. Would be great to get this resolved.

Firmware 6.2, SX OS 2.5 beta, injecting the payload via the Android app, 64GB Toshiba SD card.

Cheers.

Somewhere In-between A & B

If you have big hands I can see why that would be a real pain which is why I imagine that Team Xecuter / Nintendo chose holding the + (Plus) instead of the -(Minus)...

I am NO expert, but I have never heard of holding minus when injecting the payload.

Hope this helps...

Dude, thank you 100 times over. I was having the exact same issue ad you. I wasted a lot of hours and your tip about holding the + button during the payload worked. :D
