I have a jtag board that died, so the cpu and nand were swapped. The box works fine, i did the wiring on the new board and when i connect nandx it gives me the cannot detect error.

I redid the nand wires a few times, i even made them shorter. I tested the wires on another box and it dumped fine, put it back and same error.

The pads dont look damaged at all. I know the actual jtag wiring doesnt affect a nand dump.

you dont need none of the jtag wiring to be installed to read the nand...

so you swapped the nand and CPU from a donor machine ? so does the console boot up properly now every thing has been swapped over ?

i just emptied the 7 holes with my pump and i stuck the wires in there and put fresh 60/40 solder. still no detect. the board doesnt appear to have any damage to it. the only thing done to it was the cpu and nand swap besides detecting the controller the console functions.

what board version is it? falcon, Jasper, xenon

Try re soldering the nandx points on the bottom of the board, I had this problem a while ago, and no matter how many times I soldered the points on top it would not read! but was fixed by using the other side of the board!

Did this console have a history of this issue? I ask because I've had this on two consoles recently, one of which had no issue beforehand. I had to use a Cygnos to write to it in the end.

so just solder the exact points on the bottom as if it was the top? your not talking about doing an lpc rebuild right?
