cannot find bios file in bios.bins with nero??

hi guys n gals ...just installed x3 ce got blue bios screen up thanx 2 martin..top man follewed bios burning steps for nero using bios 3029 v16plus but when i open the desktop folder via nero the bios is invisable lol all that is there is x3skins file ...also do i just burn the bios to a disk or do i put some other files on disk such evox/slayers and maybe sum dashboards??????? you just get over the hill and you find a bloody mountain lol thanx in advance maybe soon i can be the 1 giving the advice

wowwwwww slow down there fella....
OK what you need to do is find the X3 Bios, then and only then do you rename that file alone to BIOS.BIN, you will also need to add a dummy file made via the dummy file application of 100megabytes, then and only then do you follow the instructions to burn it to disk. Once that is achieved and you can boot to the X3 bios can you progress to installing dashes etc....

Use a DVD instead of a CD, if you are using a CD because you have not got a DVD burner then make sure it is a CDRW and cut on a very low speed. If you have a Thompson DVD in your XBOX they can be very fussy with CD media, Use a DVD is my advice.

Now, you just said that something potentially important there ... you tried to access via Quix.

Does this mean that your Xbox is networked? If it is, that provides a much easier way to get the BIOS over than burning coasters.

By saying "buy another ethernet card and giving FTP a go, yo are on the right track." Please let us know if you have your Xbox networked, and can see the IP address of the Xbox on the Flashbios screen when you turn it on.

ftp i have no router does it matter

im trying to ftp my xbox i have 2 ethernet connections 1 pc to broadband 1 pc 2 xbox im trying to link the 2 then transfer bios 3029plus to xbox cos i now have given up on burning a disc (i have 2 many frisbies lol)can any1 help.. been at it for nearly a week now i now understand y i got them detentions for missing computer class at school lol

There are loads of networking guides.

This will work for you REAL quickly.

(assuming you have Windows XP):

Connect a crossover cable from the PC to the Xbox.
on the PC, right click My Network Places - choose properties.
Find the ethernet adapter for your broadband connection - you should have two in total. 1 will be your broadband so get the right one. Right-click the correct one and choose properties.
click on the Advanced tab and under Internet Connection Sharing, put a tick in 'Allow other network users to connect through this computers internet connection'.

Click ok - it should set your PC to Xbox Ethernet connection IP address correctly for FlashBIOS (and future network usage).

Boot flashBIOS and select Network Flashing. You should now be able to access the IP address given from your PC (using http://[ip address]).

This should be enough information to get you up and running.

UPDATE: If you do the above, then you'll be able to connect any PC or Xbox with DHCP enabled and get an IP address. Windows ICS has more than one use

thanks guys ive installed bios 3029 via http+ip i didnt have a network cable ....whats next ive got slayers 2.6 auto on disc but when i load it in theres loads of options what do i do ???or do i load something else in first ???help been doing this for a week and a half and im still not playing games:help thanks again m/c

You don't have to install ANYTHING in order to play backups. As long as you are booting from an X3 BIOS then go ahead.

If you want to put anything else on the HDD, then I suggest you do a lot more reading.
