Hello all, I'm pretty new to flashing and I attempted to flash my Lite-on DG-16D2S-09C.

I probed for the key successfuly, but when I attempt to load a spoofed CFW and flash it fails, bricking the drive.

I have recovered the drive in vendor mode to be reflashed, however it'll still fail.

Not sure what other type of info anyone should know.

HW Ver: A0A2
FW Ver: 93450C EDIT: Its actually 02510C (Microsoft Flash)

It gets stuck at "Writing Bank 0: ." and I'm not sure why. Wrong custom firmware? Im using one from the Lastest iXtreme Firmware Pack

I have cross referenced the correct CFW to use and I can confirm I am using the CORRECT one and IT IS the one I'm attempting to flash. It still fails to no avail ):

You're introing to get 0x72 (for Phatkey) then using Erase?

Load your dump into source in firmwaretool32
load iX into target
spoof source to target
connect drive, power on etc
right click target area in (outside of the editable fields) and select "verify key"

if the key comes back as verified

MtkFlash32 tab
Lite-On-Erase
Power cycle the drive on the second row of .........
Write (if not in auto mode)

I get 0x72 after initializing the drive and power cycling (to restore it to vendor mode after brick)

Then I follow the steps to Flash and it gets hanged up again. Wont even flash stock firmware back. I am attempting this on another computer now to see if it works.

I GOT IT WORK!

This whole time I was afraid my X360USBv2 was broken, considering I could not update it.

I followed a bunch of steps including Oggy's (thanks btw) to no success.

And then I tried my cheapo laptop and it worked. 0_0

So it turns out all I had to do was not use my beastly gaming PC, and instead use a cheap latop *shrugs*

Thanks for the support and help Oggy!

You were using erase initially, which is wrong, you should be using the "intro of death" aka LOE, the logs show this, glad you got it to work.
