Cannot Flash

Ok this is strange but I will go in sequence of what I've tried to flash this chip. I power up in X3 mode(quick push of the pwr button) and I get the nice blue screen with V3.03. OK so far so good.

I tried to load the Bios via a different HDD and it will not detect the sectors or something like that. I had it set up like this...Bios/x3_3294.bin.

I tried doing it via http and the box kept falling back to 192.168.0.99 which I tried to use and still I could not connect to my box.

I tried a DVD and followed the steps but still it would not detect the Bios.I used Nero 6.3 which is a horrible program for refining the paramaters for burning a DVD. I could not find a section where I could adjust the ISO 9660 to 1 and I couldn't set the Max chars either.

Can someone plz help me here. all 3 led on my chip are good (2 blues and a red)

Sorry I forgot to mention what version and stuff.

Its 1.6b with x3ce.

I would like to do this via http but it won't let me link up with the box. My other xbox had no problems linking up with my network.

I think you flash 1.6's with flash v3.0.1 which is on the second 1mb bank. Boot this then switch banks back to 1,1,0,0,0 and try to flash your hacked bios then.

Its cool I figured out the problem by checking other posts. It seems that when I managed to flash 3294 bios onto my box all I got was a black screen. I later realized (from reading the forums,had to dig deep) that with a 1.6b which this one turned out to be was that 1234 does not work for some reason. I used 5678 or on the pro switch off off on off off or turning on button number 2. I forgot that the X3 chips already come with version 3294 flashed to it already so it worked.

I'm not sure if that was what the problem was but it seemed to do the trick. I also think the problem was that the pro switch is a dud. When I push in button 4 it would not stay lit which means it wasn't working. If I held the button in with buttons 1 and 2 I could get flashbios 3.0.3. This kinda sucked because during the whole time the 3294 bios was already loaded on the chip.

Just to clarify..
1234 does not work with a 1.6b because it contains flashbios3.01 this has different timings for the ram.
5678 contains 3.03 which works fine for Hynix ram.

The chip does not come with any x3 bioses pre-installed..
I think you flashed ok to this bank 5678 then somehow maybe with the dodgy switches it tried to boot 1234 which indeed would give a blank screen.

congrats anyway your up and running but for a 1.6b you will have no backup bios until you re-flash it with flashbios 3.03.(The x3 has 3.01 installed by default in the backup bios which is no good for a 1.6b)
Go into config live and reflash your backup bios with 3.03 so you will always have a way back should you ever manage to screw the 2 1M banks.
