I have been holding the white button, I tried hitting eject/power yet nothing will get my xbox in the x3 config screen.

What am I doing wrong?

I am on a v1.0 xbox using an official xbox controller s with standard connections.

you need to press the power button only and hold the white button at the same time until X3 confige live comes up.

If you have done this already, have you tried again with another stock controller?

I tried with 3 official xbox controllers so far. I also tried reloading from avalaunch and I'm going nuts with this. Please let me know what the problem is.

I am having the same damn problem I just wrote a thread exactly like yours. I am also using a v 1.0 xbox and have tried using the white button on my both original xbox controllers. One thing I noticed inside my xbox that is different from other xbox's is that my controller port cables connected a rectangular circuit board that then connects to the xbox. The reason I noticed it is because it was blocking the space where the reset/eject adapter was going to go.

I forgot to mention that I just flashed my bios and have not installed any dashboards.

I have a version 1.0 and have no controller problems whatsoever. Have you tried going into the backup bios and reflashing with a different version of the bios to see if it is just a bug in the version you have? By default when you flash the bios it should be set to boot into config Live automatically everytime unless you have been in once already and disabled this feature.

I'm having this porblem, too, with a 1.0 mobo. I've tried everything I can think of. I think at this point I will re-download the latest X3 BIOS and retry loading it. Question, though, if I go into the backup FLASHBIOS using the switches, do I then switch the switches back to 1MB mode BEFORE flashing so the X3 Bios goes into the right slots?

Thanks!

well, if you use backup flashbios by pressing power and eject buttons at the same time, then there is no need to adjust your switches from the beginning but if you do it any other way and want to flash to banks prior then yes, you need to switch it back again prior to flashing.

Both buttons, oh, yeah! Duh! Sorry. I'll give it a try and see if I can get X3 Config working with a newly d/l ed BIOS.

Lowmax- You said you just flashed the Bios. Did you use the Regular or the Plus version. If you used the Plus, its the wrong one.
X3 Config Live is set to boot directly to the config. live screen, default setting, when you boot up. You shouldn't have to push any buttons. I have a 1.0 and have no problems getting into the Config Live screen. If you try the white button, hold it in and then press the Power button and continue to hold the White Button in until the systm boots.
