Cannot obtain CPU key for update

Hi everyone, first off... great site! I have been using xecuter products for about 2 years now and they are awesome!

But today I am here because I need help. I have a xenon running 8955 dash. I jtagged it for my friend about a year ago and now he needs 12611 installed to run kinect games. I'm getting a rrod jtaggable xenon out of it...winning! (hopefully)

For some unknown reason, it will not load xell- leaving me unable to retrieve the cpu key. i had this problem with a previous jtag..and was adviced to use xelllaunch.xex - which worked brilliantly!..but on this jtag - no joy. When I go to launch xelllaunch in xex menu I jest get a black screen and am returned to the dashboard. :/ Gonna try my friends wired controller tomorrow..but I am fearful that the outcome will be similar.

If anyone has any ideas as to what the problem could be..it would be much appreciated.

No sir, I have not. I no longer have an lpt pc so would it be possible to do that using flash360? But it definatly used to be on it as I did get the DVD key before.

That sparks the other problem I am having...flash360 reads but gives me an error 128 when I take a dump (nand-dump lol) but I hear that is ok and that it could just be because flash 360 is rnuning from a USB.

What happens when you press the eject button is it just dead or does it eject and you get a black screen also ?

It was ejecting and producing a black screen. I think it is sorted now. EclipseModz on 7s adviced me to flash XBR again, keeping the KV and config and now it loads xell np. Gonna take the cpu key and update to new dash now (hopefully). :]

Ok no prob your sorted then all the rest is a walk in the park once you have the CPU key buddy good luck..
