What are you talking about don't change the lens have you seen the multimeter readings on his previous post = weak lens

Nothing wrong with 1.92 if you are a 100 % sure you flashed it right with LT+ 1.92 then your Lens is weak and cant take the stress of playing a backup i have 3 DG-164S drives on front of me all with 1.92 and all play backups 100%.

I am using Verbatim dvd+r dl. I am leaning towards the fact that my laser is crap. Going to open it uptoday and make sure what laser to order.

How do I identify the board to find out if its g2r or g2r2?

I have the exact same problem with my liteon 0225 :/
xbox has latest firmware, drive is on lt plus 1.92, flashed with jf 0.1.87
doesn't read backups :'(

how did you measure the laser?
any tuts on that?
and any knowledge of availability for lasers for 0225 drive?

PS: never mind my above post, found tutorial and meanwhile ordered new laser on ebay.

How do I identify the board to find out if its g2r or g2r2?

You open up the dvd drive and get the whole metal case off so you can see the other side of the laser. Next to the connector is written g2r2 on mine.
