Cannot sign onto xbox live

I have modded my xbox V1.0 with the X3 chip and have flashed it with the 1959 bios and it works fine, but when I put in halo 2 or try to go to the xbox live dashboard it will sit at the "signing on" screen forever and tell me that it cannot connect to xbox live. I have gone to the network troubleshooter and it says that everything is fine, but I still cannot connect to xbox live. It only does this when the X3 chip is enabled.

Can anyone help??


Thank you sh*t punchers for all of your help... I have written a program to sign onto xbl with no problems. It Utilizes xbox dash and x3 dash independently of one another. Now I can use my halo2 trainer in multiplayer xbl games


nutsak, the only solid proof you need is to run into me on xbl in halo2

Disable the chip first before you use Live.

The X3 (1959) has a built in feature in it to stop you from signing into live while the chip is on. That prevents you from being banned from Live.

So of coarse the obvious solution is to turn the chip off, and thank Xecuter for making that bios preventing you from signing onto live... you would have gotten banned if it didn't.

A little tip for you. If you had a Live account before you chipped your Xbox, and you have installed a new HDD, you will be banned if you use your account now. If you haven’t installed a new Drive and are still using the original Drive you might be safe.
