Cant boot SXOS CFW after Smash Bros Match Version

My son was playing Smash on his OFW Switch 8.0.1 and decided to match Smash Bros software versions with my SXOS Switch on 7.0.1. Now my SXOS Switch won't boot. The SXOS logo comes on the screen ... then ... nothing. Does locally matching Smash software versions also update system firmware? I can use the jig to get to the menu, I can boot into OFW BUT it won't boot SX CFW now. Anyone had similar probs? Any help would be appreciated.

sounds like you either upgraded your switch to 8.0 or you have some kind of sd card corruption. SX OS does work fine with 7.0 1

If you have downgraded to 7.x from 8.x you will also have problems.

I never updated or downgraded firmwares. Only thing done was locally matching Smash Bros Versions between an 8.0.1 OFW Switch and a 7.0.1 CFW Switch so we could have a local match.

Sounds like the Switch with the OFW updated your hacked switch through local firmware update. Did you update your smash yourself with a nsp file? If not and it got updated through the OFW switch, then your hacked switch firmware got updated too.

... I didn't know that matching software versions could/would update my system firmware. My OFW which I can still boot into fine is still 7.0.1. Obviously can't tell what FW my emunand is on as cant boot it. If its now on 8.0.1 guess i'll have to wait for an SX OS update (again) to resolve it. GGGGRR!!!

Well, if its only emunand, maybe you can downgrade it? But you should ask someone that knows that for sure.

What you can do for sure is.. create a new emunand, but then you would have to reinstall all homebrew / games iirc.
