Can't boot to MS dash

When mod chip is disabled I get the error 5 and can't get the M dash - have 'locked' the hrd disk a few times but it dosne't help. I am using the slayer dash to lock the HD and also the from with the BIOS. any other things cause this error ??

Your hard drive must not be a lockable drive. Go here for a list to see if your drive is on it. <-- Link.
