:(

I don't know what's happened, everything was fine a few days ago but now when I want to go into the original dash I get a code 21 error.

I've looked at the error code list at xbox-scene but still don't understand what code 21 means and how to fix it.

Can someone please help me.

Thanks Hugo,

I did have a backup on the PC but for some weird reason, that didn't work either.

But, as you say, used Slayer, works ok.

Although, I think I selected the wrong restore.
I've now lost ALL full 160Gb 'ish worth of stuff. DOH!! DOH!!

Oh well, back to the drawing board..........unless there is some kind of file restorer.....doubt it!!!

Cheers Anyway.

Yeah the drive was locked.

It's use to work whether it was locked or not when the chip is enabled.

It works now anyway, just lost all the contents of F:

Use the slayer 2.6 disk to reinstall the orignal hard drive files and you will be up and running again. It worked for me.

Hi, I have a problem with my MS Dash. It wont boot up when I switch my x2 2.6 lite off ... it frags and flashes. I controled my DO solder point and it seems ok. I installed MS Dash with the slayer's install disk but it won't boot with mod chip off.
When I enter MS Dash through EvoX there are working only 4 buttins on my controler (A,B,start and back)...it's logical that also the 'cross' to jump from menu to menu should work not only buttons to select and dseselect.

I hope somebody can give me a hint or an advise what to do because I tried and read a lot but didn't found an answer.

Thanks for all replies an help!

Do you get an error screen? If so, does it have an Error number 05 in the top corner?

I've check my D0 soldering already a few times...and it seems soldered good because I don't have any problem with my modchip when its on. It frgas only when my modchip is off.

Could it be also in this case that the D0 is bad soldered?

I've now resoldered D0 and its always the same. It boots normaly with the mod chip on and frags with mod chip off. I launched Avalaunch through EvoX and when it finished loading I couldn't do anything there, my controler was dead and the eject button was red (constantly).

What else can I do now?

I removed the chip and turned the XB on and it fraged 3 times and afterwards the eject button flashed red and green.
...Which indicates you've damaged the d0 point.

If you want to be able to boot the Xbox with the chip off, you'll need to get it to boot with the chip removed first.

I understand. Perhaps there is a problem with my newly installed HDD could it be? My original XB HDD is broke and I installed a new one.

I read in a forim that the time could do also a lot of problems, could it? What can I do now to repair my XB?

It's purely down to the soldering on the motherboard - nothing else.

Try removing all unwanted solder near the d0 point and try again.

Could also a problem be at the pinheader solder points? Do you have perhaps an image how it shoud look like (d0)?

I have another question, perhaps a totally noob question. Could it be that MS Dash won't load because there is no bios on the disk when the mod chip is off?
I tried to disconnect the D0 wire from the mod chip and then tried to switch it on and it fraged. But when the D0 wire is connected to the chip, everything is ok when I start m XB with mod chip on.

I removed al the solder that was near the D0 point...but it had no effect. I removed also solder around the pinheader...I think now there is no solder which could make problems.I hope so! But it don't work anyway.
