Can't Boot to Xell.

I cannot get this jasper 512 to boot to Xell. Solderings good. CR programmed. Ecc written to nand. Nands compared and CB is 6751..

Which CoolRunner do you have?

If you have a Rev B, simply bridge the pads where it says "CAP" or add a 100nF (this seems to be the optimum value) cap across CPU_PLL_BYPASS (point A) and GND if you have the Rev A.

Thanks Blakey. Its a brand new Rev B I just got it today. I briged that already. And tried it without bridge.

How did you build and write the ECC image?

Were there any bad blocks in your NAND dump?

Built it with Jtag Tool like always on my other RGH consoles that I sell. And no bad blocks. Writing orig back now to test. Do I need to disconnect CR power to boot original nand?

You only need to disable the chip, I believe setting the switch to PROG does this or de-solder the 3.3v wire so power isn't supplied to the chip.

Try 360 Multi Builder, it seems to work a lot better than JTAG Tool for many people.

So to write the Ecc the command is nandpro usb: +64 eccimage.ecc

The command is correct but try building your ECC with 360 Multi Builder as I suggested, or use Python command line .

Multi builder told me 6751 CB is not compatible for the glitch hack. Is this true?

In a fashion, yes... but a donor CB of 6750 will be used instead to make it compatible.

Rofl.. good one. Tried EVERYTHING and I switched it and oh look. Boots.. Xconsoles getting this chip back.

It was the coolrunner. Wouldn't allow the console to boot.
