OK so I recieved an RGH console a while ago that was not booting. Found that it was simply badly programmed and installed by the coolrunner. I fixed the problem and for the last couple of months have used it no problems. I decided this week to stick my last cygnos in it and the install is spot on as the cygnos RGH nand boots no problems.

The console was on 13604 glitched image. No original nand was supplied with the console so I only have the original glitched nand of 13604 saved. Built a RGH image of 14719 on the cygnos chip installed a switch to kill power to the xecuter coolrunner when the cygnos is off and tried to buoild a retail 14719 with JRunner. The image built but warned that I had used a hacked SMC and should use a retail to build a retail image. The retail nand will not boot. I know the LDV of 2 is correct as my RGH boots but don't understand why the retail image will not boot.

Haven't had much need to return an RGH to stock like this as all my other consoles are mine from their RGH birth so I always have the stock nand. Just this one I have no original nand and can't get one. Can I build a retail nand or not?

What about using a real stock kernel supplied by an donor Nand, inject your needed parts and build an retail image out of that?

Don't. Know really but I would try it that way. Just saved a trinity that way cause I lost orig. Nand.

Read the J-Runner log. You'll find that it won't build a retail NAND from an RGH one natively because of the hacked SMC. Give it a good SMC and it'll use that instead.

So do I need to use a donor nand? Will that build a live safe nand? Will that give me a good smc?

Either a donor nand or a donor SMC from the same board type. You can either inject it manually or use multi_builder with your exracted SMC.bin to build from there.

dgenx built me a working image by injecting a donor smc and everything is working as it should. Thank's to everyone that helped out.
