Believe me, I couldn't understand what you meant by "i bridged one of the soldering points on the nand x chip!!!". Can you explain this nicely and maybe post some pictures too?

the little pad that goes on the motherboard. i was trying to solder a point and i put too much and it solder 2 points. im really not happy on how hard it is to solder im just might take it to someone that is charging me $75 to jtag it for me. that would be over $200 because i have 2 jtagable boxes to do and i bought the nand x and im horrible at it lol

I still can't understand which two points you're about . Can you post some pictures for a quick analysis?

im taking it to someone today to fix this for me. any chance that this can be saved as i want him to use the nand x pads when he tries to fix this mess
Although J2B1 seems like it may work, it seems like most of the points on J1D2 aren't even touching the QSB. Ofcourse with soldering like that, you will always get the "Couldn't Detect Flash Controller" error.

I suggest you redo the J2B1 QSB and maybe move it a little bit to get it more in position with the actual points on the motherboard because it seems like the QSB has not stuck exactly where it should have.

you are better removing solder before re doing.... are you using any flux??

and did you remove the paper on the bottem of your qsb to make it stay in place..

also if the board is damaged you still have 2 options left using the .pin headers or solder wires into board........
have more trust in yourself .....

ps, if you are carefull and use flux you might be ok re touching the points

Well, if it isn't working, then I think you should take the Xbox360 to someone who can Jtag it for you.

just shiped 2 xboxes to xmods :D since you can see i cant solder to save my life. i have one question. does the drive have to be flashed to play backups even if its jtaged? im asking cause i didnt flash my drive and just wondering if i have too. the flashing drives i can handle as i have done lots and know what im doing in that department :p
