hello people i have a samsung drive, i dont know what type yet, and i tried to do a dry-run at making a bootable device. i have the VIA 6421A drive, even tho i ordered the L, and i installed the driver CD  and i went to the detect the port I/O button and it spat some errors at me and heres what they were: 1. unable to parse the msinfo32 dump. could not find c/.../msinfo32dump.txt 2. An error occurred while querying for IO data:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

it said if it cant detect the I/O data, copy the info from system32 but none of the stuff i got from system32 matched those text fields, heres what i got from system32

i heard if you had the 6421A card, you had to hex edit the port I/Os but i have found no guides on how to do that so does anyone have an idea??

Try to select your chipset and detect I/O before opening the firmware, worked for me :D
