Hey guys,

I recently moved my apt around to accomidate a new television and noticed that I can no longer disable my x3 by holding down the power button. I cannot boot to the 256k backup either by holding down both power and eject. I can however boot into the x3 control panel by holding the white button on my controller and disable the mod from there. So I know the mod is still working. What would normally cause this problem? I tried searching and didnt find anything helpful. Thanks for your patients.

I'm about to open it up now and see if there is anything disconnected. Some more information that may be useful:

v1.4 xbox
Been working fine for about 4 months without a hitch
Used pinheader installation method.

I'll post back once i've opened the box and hopefully solved the problem.

thanks

Wow, this is odd, the x3 power/eject cable harness on the no solder adapter FELL OFF! I'm going to attempt to resolder and let you know what happens.

--------------------------------

Ok the solder job went well and now the chip allows me to disable again. One quick question just to make sure its working 100% before i close the xbox; when I hold eject and the power button the external switch turns purple, then back to blue and I'm taken to the flashbios screen, is this correct?

Thanks for your help and quick response!

Yeah that's ok, that happens sometimes. As long as it takes you to the flashbios screen then it doesn't really matter if the LED's are purple or blue.
