Cant disable X3

If I keep my finger on the power for a few seconds the X3 display switch goes red then off, will then come back on with blue switch.

Also have a constant light on my LAN! could it be that the lan and the D0 are wired the wrong way around?? I bought a new board with the wires and pin header already on.

Check your D0 Point... thats what happened to me. But im too lazy to take my box apart again and rapair the burnt trace

I think Im going to have to take the board out and check that the wires are done properly!

Did you delete your MSdashboard by any chance? If you did... disabling the mod would usually give an error code.

No M$ dash loads fine with the mod on, and it was an unlocked drive which I have locked to this m/board.

I will check the wires later on when I get 5 minutes.

OK Ive checked the wiring and all looks good, Ive also moved a bit further with the fault, it may disable but FRAG's when disabled.

Once AGAIN, Check your D0 point.. Just to make sure, resolder it.

wouldnt a faulty D0 point result in not being able to use the X3? and not the standard bios?

Ive looked and looked but cant see any problem with the soldering, it was done by the guy who I got the board from and its top quality soldering.

I cant speak for the other person but my soldering was done on the board from the person who I got it from, its a top class solder job.

Wouldnt a bad D0 stop the chip from working and not stop it from disabling?

I agree it could be the solder, but I checked and rechecked. I even re soldered the DO. Still the same problem. Should I just re solder all connections? Thanks for the support and sorry for being a n00b. I will learn sooner or later...I hope!

If its forced to boot from LPC why doesnt it boot to X3 bios? I thought that a bad D0 would not ground and that is why a chip wouldnt work, not the other way round.
