cant dissable chip using power button!

I have a 1.0 version xbox and a x3 chip installed.
I tried holding the power button down but chip wont dissable keeps booting up and x symbol stays blue??
can anyone please help?? are there other ways?? I want to play xbl.

Yes u can..

go into X3 Config Live (hold white button on boot)


THE
X3 Config live ...press A
at the bottom of the menu...."reboot with X3 Mod Disabled"

It should disable via the pwr button though...it can only be your d0 point check the grey wire..soldering and on the correct pad.

On a ver 1.0 board leave pin 6 in you only remove 4 & 16..(already out i believe when shipped)
But the header is not the issue here...re-solder D0

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought if the d0 is not right the chip would never ENABLE.

He might have a problem with the power/eject board. I had one that was giving me problems that had solder balls between some of the contacts on the back.

I agree, just this last week I had a bad power/eject board. The xbox would not disable the chip. I swapped the power eject board and tried it in a previously functional xbox and it did the same thing. You might want to try it in another xbox, or contact your reseller and see if they will give you a replacement.
