Hello

ive got a simple problem, but its giving me a headache
my xbox doesnt read sh*t after the latest updates (installed through ssx dvd)
i updated everything

turned out i needed to do the whole jungleflasher thing
but heres the problem
so i got my jungle flasher installed (i've got win7 64bit)
to be honest, i havent got the slightest clue what the sata hardware information means so imma just put some stuff down and hope you got the good one out of it
Asus M4A79XTD EVO motherboard
wd5000aaks-002d
st3320820AS

xbox dvd version
7850c
dg16d2s

i have downloaded and installed everything they sayd in about 1000 tutorials, i got the x360 usb, libusb, ck3iusb, latest jungleflasher, ive got the lt 3.0 (which i want)
i got my xbox's drive connected trough the sata port in my motherboard (the slot next to my dvd,) got everything hooked up as it should

also bios set from ahci to IDE with regedit from 3 to 0 (tutorial sayd from 1 to 0 but it sayd 3 at my start options so i just fixed that)

but the problem, i cant find my drive in jungleflasher

found 8 i/o
found 1 com
found 5 win (c d e g h)

0xA000 vendor WDC so i guess thats my hard drive
0x8000 vendor st3320820AS my other
0xEC00 no drive detected
0xE800 no drive detected

i got some IDE but they should not be part of the plan should they

did i do something wrong plugging in my cables? or computer settings

i hope you got enough information like you guys asked :p if not, im sorry i tried my best,

thanks already, boema

If you're gonna use your computer, plug the dvd drive into the sata port that the computers main HD is in(move the main HD to another sata port, and restart the computer. JF should now see dvd drive.

i should turn off my pc, switch the cables, and turn it back on again is that right?

it also makes a quite loud noise starting up, but i think its just the spinning part getting f**ked up, ill fix that when im done

my JF doesnt give me the 0x0000 which i see in the tutorials .. any ideas?

I don't think that is important, what is, is that you can see liteon info in drive description. Sorry, I haven't touched JF in awhile... the main thing is to switch between ports in JF til you see liteon info.

You can always remove power source from other drives, except computer HD. That way, the only ports with devices will get listed.

@ blakey ,
yes i have selected that, and okay for the 0x000

@ate,
I have switched, Alot, even between the IDE and sata, press the ... button, but still nothing, did a few tweaks here and there but nothing really
even switched bios sh*t around
and i dont think removing the power source from other drives would make any difference, i got one HD which i run my computer on, and one is plugged in for whatever reason, i dont even know what its doing there really

ok here's what i see, this might sound stupid but it could be

Have you tried replacing the SATA cable?

Like the JungleFlasher tutorial states, never rule a faulty SATA cable out as a factor ;).

Also, have you disabled driver signature enforcement (tap F8 when you boot the computer)?

Sorry, haha... I'm just trying to go over the steps in my head as to how I used to flash. I powered on the console to make sure the drive had power so the computer would see the drive when turning the computer on... IDK, I'm sorry, just trying to think of everything.

dont worry ate :p i didnt take it as an offence

just tried it, doesnt work for me

you are aware of the fact that im a DIY guy, and i didnt buy any of the Xecuter stuff (im a poor student)

ill go over the steps with you
1. disassembled my xbox
2. opened the dvd
3. bridged R707 (just a drop of tin on top to put them together)
4. Cut the one of the cables (black cables with white plugs from xbox mobo to dvd) looped an on/off switch in between
5. i got my probe for the something x01 making mass on the frame with a wire, the other end is on a screw driver
6. Sata cable is plugged in the back of my dvd, now in the slot where my PC dvd used to be

f**k me you said put it in the HDD slot didnt you
imma try that, see what happens

brb f**king everything up
