2.6 installed, when i boot to bank1 i get flashloader 3.0.1 and when i boot from bank2 i get flashloader 3.0.3 (or vice versa).
both load up, i go to flash the bios from hdd.
i select "/bios/m7.bin" i also tried various other ones on my hdd.
when i try to program it, i see the yellow bar go across. then the gree bar go across. no errors, the box shuts off like it should.
when i turn it on, neither bank has changed, each will boot into its different version of flashloader.
i'll let the experts guess what is going on. any ideas as to what i can do would be most helpful. please answer as soon as you can, i'm visiting a friend who is actually having the problem and i leave very soon. thanks in advance.
or if you want to read my conclusion:
it looks to me like the flash loader does not actually check that the bank has actually been erased. nor does it check that the data was written correctly. in addition, there is some reason why the flash on the mod chip is not programming. i tried to reflow the pins on the flash chip but that did not seem to change anything. is this possible? i dont know the inner workings of the program or the chips, so i could be way off.
